Leeton Man Injured in Johnson County Accident

A Leeton man was injured early Saturday morning in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 1991 Chevrolet, driven by 25-year-old Samuel T. Nussmbaum of Leeton was on Southeast 301st Road, north of Lee Street in Leeton, at 3 a.m., when he struck a deer, then traveled off the left side of the roadway, became airborne and came to rest in a creek.

Nussbaum suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Chevy was totaled.
