We have a new employee here at the ol' radio station.  His name is Sam Schleicher.  Sam is our new Digital Managing Editor, or DME. Yep, me too, what the hell is that? We shall investigate shortly.

Sam is from St. Louis and went to MU.  Then went to work in Billings, Montana, and now he's here in Sedville.  So, let's ask Sam some questions so we can get to know him.

Sam, what is a DME and why do we need one?

A Digital Managing Editor is responsible for, well, editing.  It's my job to make sure that everything on the website is looks good and is working smoothly.  Everything you see on the website from the posts the DJs write to the ads on the page is my responsibility.  Basically, I'm here to make you look good.

What does this mean to our listeners?  What's their payoff for reading our nonsense?

I want our listeners to be able to visit the website and get the latest community news, find some opportunities to win great prizes, and share their opinions with our awesome DJs.  Our listeners will be able to communicate and interact with us more than any other station in town!

Are you married?

I'm engaged to my beautiful fiancee Liz.  I'm getting married this July.

How do you like Sedalia so far?

Sedalia has been great!  Everybody has been really nice, and the town seems very community-oriented as a whole.  I haven't tried a Goober Burger yet, but I've heard they're delicious.

OK, now the important questions. These are pivotal to our relationship Sam.  Who is Robert Johnson?

A blues legend who sold his soul to the devil in order to be able to play the way he does.

Are you a Cardinal Fan, and do you hate the the Cubs?

Yes, and yes.

Are you a fugitive from the law? Why would anyone leave Missouri to go west?

Uhh, didn't you move to Wyoming at one point?

Yes I was a fugitive... hey, don't turn this around on me buddy!  Do you watch Wiener's Circle and/or Duck Dynasty? As you can tell, I'm into intellectual TV...

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I do enjoy The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy and Top Shot quite a bit.

OK, all silliness aside, Sam's a good guy. Welcome him to Sedalia, everyone!
