A severe storm and possible tornado has done major damage to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, forcing this weekend's Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com to be postponed. Track and series officials are evaluating a makeup weekend for the crown jewel event for dirt Late Models. An update will be posted next Tuesday, May 28.
With large amounts of rain in the state, the cancellation of the Salute To Veterans show weekend in Jefferson City has been announced. Due to extreme flooding in the state capitol, the airport has already been evacuated. The river is expected to crest Wednesday at over 2 feet past flood stage, rendering the show impossible. The Saturday and Sunday airshow days have both been officially canceled, along with all surrounding airshow events such as the Old Soldier's Show, Media Day, and the Saturday Honored Guests Banquet.
