On Saturday, Aug. 17 just before 11 p.m., Pettis County deputies and a Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper were dispatched to the 400 block of West 36th Street Terrace on a verbal disturbance.

While en route, they were advised by dispatch that a male had hit the apartment building with a vehicle. An abandoned vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle was located by a deputy upon arrival. Deputies later located the suspect, who returned to the residence attempting to break in.

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Zachary Alan Hancock-Bottom and transported him to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges of 3rd degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and property damage. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
