Mark Your Calendar For The Sedalia Kiwanis Pancake Day
The Sedalia Kiwanis Club invites the community to be a part of Kiwanis Pancake Day on Saturday, October 26th.
You and I both know that we love pancakes. And now, you can eat pancakes to help kids - while enjoying the health benefits of a delicious breakfast. Plain pancakes are a good source of vitamins and minerals, with a serving providing 20 percent of the daily value for calcium; 15 percent of the DV for phosphorus, riboflavin and thiamine; and 10 percent of the DV for iron and folate (I admit, I have no idea what folate is).
So make sure you attend the Kiwanis Pancake Day! This annual event is one of the major fundraisers for Sedalia Kiwanis Club, which allows them to support Sedalia youth programs and organizations including the Sedalia Kiwanis William Schien Memorial Scholarship Program, Pettis County Early Childhood, Malita Day Nursery, American Legion Baseball, Paul Klover Soccer , the Boys Scouts, the Girl Scouts, Sedalia Girls Softball, Show-Me Christian Youth Home and Childsafe as well as being involved with three child car seat safety and bicycle helmet programs throughout the year.
Tickets for the event are $7 and the meal will include pancakes, sausage, fruit and either coffee or juice. The breakfast will be held at the Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church, 3201 Southwest Blvd, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the door and for more information contact Bob Milner at 660-473-1270. Do it for yourself - and do it for the children. Treat yourself, people!
