Missouri Man to Be Charged in January 6 Capitol Riot

It seems like it's been a lot more than six months since the riots of the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. A Missouri man is facing multiple charges in federal court for his alleged participation.

Joshua Dressel, 31, of Festus, is the 12th Missouri man to charged. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for southeastern Missouri, the four charges against Dressel include the following:

• Unlawfully entering a restricted area
• Disorderly conduct
• Violent entry on the Capitol grounds
• Demonstration inside a Capitol building

In a story on kansascity.com, Tuesday, July 13, is when Dressel appeared via teleconference for the first time. The charges against him are all misdemeanors.

According to the kansascity.com article:

More than 500 people face charges for participation in the riot, when the mob of supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol grounds and clashed with police.

The federal investigation which began in January, has found 12 Missouri residents involved with the riots and have been criminally charged. From February 10 through May 28, 11 from the Show-Me State were brought in for questioning, arrested and/or charged.

• Emily Hernandez of Sullivan
• William Merry, Jr. of St. Louis
• Paul Westover of St. Louis
• Louis Enrique Colon of Blue Springs
• Michael Aaron Quick and Stephen Brian Quick both of Springfield
• Nicholas Burton Reimler- U of MO student
• Zachary John Wilson of Springfield
• Matthew Eugene Loganbill-Owner of a Lake of the Ozarks area gun store
• Carey Jon Walden of Kansas City

The story on kansascity.com states that Colon, who is a member of the Proud Boys from the Kansas City area is accused along with two Kansas residents, William Chrestman and Christopher Kuehne, of Olathe.
