Mizzou Athletics is planning for capacity crowds at Faurot Field for the 2021 football season. This according to a post on the Mizzou Athletics Twitter feed.

Their post says the athletic department is excited to welcome back capacity crowds for the 2021 football season and looks forward to fans cheering on the Tigers safely and "providing fans with an outstanding experience that features all of the pageantry and  traditions of a game day in Columbia."

While it sounds like Mizzou Athletics is hoping for a more traditional football season with all the fun the surrounds college football in Columbia. The Mizzou Athletic Department is hedging their bets and stopping short of saying they're going to be able to  provide a pre-pandemic game day experience.

Their tweet acknowledges that the athletic department will continue consulting with the University of Missouri's medical experts and Columbia public health officials to ensure game day activities are safe for all.

The 2021 season has seven home games scheduled for Faurot Field. Including a three game home stand during the first half of October, and a two game home stand in mid-November:

  • Saturday September 4 vs. Central Michigan.
  • Saturday September 18 vs. Southeast Missouri State.
  • Saturday October 2 vs, Tennessee
  • Saturday October 9 vs. North Texas (Homecoming)
  • Saturday October 16 vs. Texas A&M
  • Saturday November 13 vs. South Carolina
  • Saturday November 20 vs. Florida

Additionally, the Tigers will be holding their spring game this Saturday at 1:00PM CDT at Faurot Field. Free tickets are available for the event which will feature a "mix of skills, drills and scrimmage from head coach Eliah Drinkwitz's team."
