Mozarkfest Billed as a ‘Salute To the Decade of the 70s’
Even though the event is a year away, tickets for the 2024 Mozark Festival go on sale Thursday at 9 a.m.
A special announcement was made Monday afternoon at Bistro #5 in the Lamy's Building in downtown Sedalia.
The festival is scheduled for Sept. 20, 21, and 22, 2024, and will take place at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, where over 1300 campsites are available.
There will be two stages at the three-day music festival, billed as “A Salute To the Decade of the 70s.”
One stage will feature these love acts:
Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Glenn Hughes, former bass player and singer for Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, The Pat Travers Band, Molly Hatchet, John Schneider from “Dukes of Hazzard,” Petra (Christian rock group), “The Frontmen” featuring lead singers from Lonestar, Restless Heart and Litte Texas; Revisiting Creedence, Head East, Danny Coker and his band Counts 77 (from The History Channel); Tammy Graham and Michael Peterson.
The other stage will feature the best tribute bands available, including:
Tributes to Phil Collins, Hall & Oates, Queen, Eagles, Journey, Heart, Santana, REO Speedwagon, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert.
In addition, the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display all three days of the festival, according to Veteran and 40 & 8 member Cliff McBride.
Also there will be a car show from the West Central Missouri Vintage Auto Club, a Volkswagen car show, arts & crafts, a Kid Zone, and many food trucks each day.
There will be three large buildings reserved on the fairgrounds for the crafts show, fine arts and quilt show.
Three-day VIP and general admission tickets go on sale this Thursday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m., at www.mozarkfest.com through StubWire.
Sponsorships and vendor spots are available, it was noted.
There are currently 19 sponsors signed on to the event so far, according to the website.
