The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the deaths of two men who drowned at Lake of the Ozarks over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

MSHP Troop F said that at roughly 2:40 p.m. Saturday, they received a call requesting assistance locating two people last seen in the water near the .5 mile mark at Lake of the Ozarks near Bagnell Dam.

The body of the second person was found around 9 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the Patrol.

The two men were reportedly from India. One was swimming when he began struggling. That's when the second man dove in to try and save the first man, but also drowned.

The body of the first man was recovered by dragging and was pronounced deceased by Miller County Coroner Tim Bradley at 4:04 p.m. Saturday.

The body of the second man was recovered by the MSHP Dive Team and was pronounced deceased by Coroner Bradley at 9:04 a.m. Sunday.

Both bodies were taken to Hedges and Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach.

Lake Ozark Fire and Police assisted the 11 Troopers on scene.
