MU HealthCare Bringing More Services To Boonville

MU Health Care is expanding their presence in Boonville with a new multi-specialty clinic scheduled to open early next year.

According to a press release, MU Health Care will open a 14,000 square-foot facility on Jackson Road near Main Street across from Walmart.  The facility will include an urgent care center with extended hours, primary care providers, specialty services, X-Ray, imaging, a lab and physical therapy services.

“MU Health Care recognizes the need for convenient, high-quality care in Boonville,” said Jonathan Curtright, MU Health Care’s chief executive officer. “We are excited to expand our health care options in Boonville, meeting the health care needs of residents while further strengthening our commitment to the community.”

The offerings at the new multi-specialty clinic are based on con community feedback and months of collaboration with a variety of groups in Cooper County.

“MU Health Care’s investment in Cooper County is welcome news for our community,” said Gigi Quinlan McAreavy, Director of Economic Development for Boonville and Cooper County. “There is a great need for additional health care services in our county, and this new multi-specialty clinic is a big step forward in the effort to address those needs.”

Six months ago MU Health Care opened a family medicine clinic at 102 Isle of Capri Boulevard in Boonville that features former Pinnacle Regional Hospital family doctors Mona Brownfield, MD, Robert Koch, MD and Lori Weekly, FNP.

Mizzou Therapy Services also has a location in Boonville and the health care provider has outreach services for sports medicine and nephrology.

MU Healthcare has signed a long term lease with Boonville Commercial, LLC for the facility and the clinic is expected to open early next year.
