The Northwest Mustangs with Sacred Heart lost to Rich Hill with Hume, 78-28, Friday night at home in Hughesville.

Leading offensive players included Tanner Damlo had 60 yards rushing on 12 carries and a 2 point conversion carry, Nick Crosswhite had 3 yards and a touchdown on 2 carries, Cody Damlo had 3 yards on one carry, Tanner Damlo completed 16 of 30 passes for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion pass, Cody Damlo had 76 yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 catches, Nick Crosswhite had 46 yards on 6 catches, Ian Smith had 17 yards on 3 catches, Dayton Martin had a 53 yard touchdown catch.

Leading defensive players were Caden Crooker with 10 tackles, Keaton Halsey had 7 tackles and a fumble recovery, Ian Smith, Tanner Damlo, Nick Crosswhite and Donovan Dobson had 3 tackles each, Nick Crosswhite had an interception.

The loss drops NW/SH to 1 and 8 for the year. Rich Hill is 5-4.

Northwest plays Liberal (1-8) on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Class 1 State Tournament, according to MSHSAA.
