Two teens were injured and another killed in a UTV accident that occurred Wednesday evening in Shannon County in southern Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2021 Polaris Ranger, driven by a 15-year-old female from Winona, was on County Road 563, eight miles east of Winona at 8 p.m. when the Polaris began to skid and overturned, ejecting all three occupants.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Shannon County Coroner Sam Murphy at 9 p.m. The body was taken to Yarber Funeral Home in Winona.

Two 15-year old females from Winona suffered moderate injuries, and were transported by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, Mo.

None of the three were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the report.
