I ran across a clipping of an article about a peanut butter diet that I had cut out of a magazine some years ago. Now just mentioning "clipping of an article" tells you how many years ago it probably was!

First off let mention that there are two food items at the top of my list if I ever get stranded on a deserted island. Peanut butter and pizza. I'd say my odds of having either one on the island might be nil but you never know. Saying this, now you know how much I like peanut butter.

I'm seeing different titles when I google "peanut butter diet." Some include the following-

Those are just a few of the many titles that are there to peruse. In one article the health benefits of peanut butter are explained. Now we're talking about "healthy" peanut butter, i.e., the good stuff. Not the stuff with additional oils (these can oust health fats and lower amounts of protein per serving), sugars, and unnecessary additives like mono- and diglycerides.

The good, healthy peanut butter has only two items-peanuts and salt. You put these two items in a food processor and go at it. It may take awhile but eventually you'll have a batch of peanut butter that will be healthy.

So if you're a fan of the peanutty spread, do your own search and see what you think. I think I'm going to devise a plan that PB is going to be my main staple. We'll see what happens!
