The Sacred Heart swim and dive team competed at the Winnetonka Dual on Wednesday, Dec. 28 against Winnetonka, Liberty North and Smith-Cotton High School.

The Lady Gremlins have a lot of fight in them for five athletes, and set a few new personal records.

Hayden Altena placed 6th in one-meter diving (six-dive) event with a score of 105.35; she is continually trying to add difficulty to her dives and make them more competitive.

Camille Schear was just outreached by her competition to earn a 2nd place finish and state consideration time in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.89, along with a 1st place finish & state consideration in the 100 butterfly with a time of 103.92.

Kate Carney returned strong with a personal record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:30.77 and an 8th place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:34.10.

Arly Ponce earned a 5th place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:24.68 and a 7th place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:32.69.

Kelsey Hudson also had a strong finish during her first time swimming the 200 individual medley with a time of 3:46.84 and a time of 1:25.16 in the 100 freestyle, according to Coach Michelle Steger.
