Late Tuesday night, Sept. 29, Pettis County deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black Dodge pickup with multiple stickers and the word DODGE on the rear window, at Highways 50 and 65.

The stop was for careless and imprudent driving.

The vehicle refused to stop and fled the area south on 65, and a male passenger exited the vehicle at Highway 65 and West 10th as the truck continued westbound on West 10th.

The Dodge continued to flee west on Highway Y until deputies lost sight of the vehicle near the Pettis-Johnson County border.

Deputies contiuned to search the area, but the vehicle was not discovered.

Citizens with any information on the whereabouts of the truck are urged to contact the Pettis County Sheriff's Office at 827-0052.
