Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for July 14, 2021
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
On Wednesday, July 14, the Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop at 20th and Grand on a vehicle displaying the wrong Missouri plates. The driver, identified as Dennis Kelch of Columbia, was arrested for felony driving while revoked.
On July 13, a woman reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that she has a full order of protection against the father of her child, and is prohibited from contacting her in any way. And on July 12 at 7 a.m., he texted her, and at 2:30, he messaged her on facebook.
On July 12, Pettis County Deputies arrested 60-year-old Joseph Enloe of La Monte for driving while suspended.
On July 10 at 3:21 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy responded to 101 Webster Road in Smithton for a report of a stolen bike. Someone took a black, 23-inch bicycle from her front yard between 7 p.m. July 8 and 3:21 p.m. July 10.
On July 10, Jimmy Malone reported to Deputies that someone stole a telescopic forklift from his CSC business. Deputies later recovered the forklift a half mile away from the business and it was later released back to Malone.
On July 9 around 3 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy responded to Muddy Creek Eagle Stop, 23685 Highway M, for a shoplifting report. The reporting party said the suspect walked out of the store with a 44-ounce drink a a bag of chips without paying, then walked north into a grove of trees. The Deputy made contact with the suspect at the apartments at 23677 Highway MM. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
On July 8 at 9:58 a.m., at the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 South Ohio, Robert Miller was arrested for active warrants out of Sedalia and Pettis County. Miller was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On July 1 around 2:30 a.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Fusion near Highway 65 and Tiger Pride Boulevard. A computer check revealed the male driver was suspended. The driver was released from the scene with a citation and a Sept. 8 court date.
