Thursday evening, Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of North Cumberland in Green Ridge to take a harassment report. Deputies arrived and spoke to the caller. The caller, who was not named in the report, came home from work to find a brightly colored package on his deck, leaning against the outer door of the residence. When inside, he opened the package. Inside the package he found a card in an envelope, a rock, and a black colored notebook. The caller found the items to be offensive and harassing. The items were seized to be destroyed at the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.


Wednesday night, while on patrol in the area of Highway Y and Hedge Apple Drive, Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a black colored Mercedes passenger car. The car was stopped because it did not have a front license plate. Deputies made contact with the driver, and three other occupants in the vehicle. The driver was the only subject with an ID at the time of the stop. The driver’s information was passed through Dispatch, who advised the male subject had a warrant for his arrest. Amariah V. Zalozh, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Improper Lane Usage. Zalozh was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $99.00 cash only.

Deputies and the K9 Unit responded to the 25000 block of Shannon Road in Hughesville on the evening of May 27th. Deputies were called to investigate a verbal disturbance. During the investigation, Deputies learned the suspect was not allowed at the residence. Jodie Raye Cornine, 26, of Hughesville, was arrested on a charge of Burglary in the 2nd Degree and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Cornine also had Pettis County Probation Violation warrants for her arrest on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, and felony Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Cornine also had a Saline County Probation Violation warrant on a charge of felony Burglary in the 1st Degree, and felony Assault in the 3rd Degree. Bonds on each of the Cornine cases are $1,000 cash and $2500 surety. The most recent Burglary charge was initially submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office as no bond. At the initial appearance, bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety on the condition Cornine have no contact with the victim.


Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the Temp Stop, 4575 South Limit Avenue late Wednesday night. The vehicle was stopped because it had no headlights or taillights, and was displaying a license plate belonging to someone else. The driver, Jeremy Mullins, 35, of Warrensburg, was found to have a revoked driving status. Mullins was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on a charge of felony Driving While Revoked.
