Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for May 4, 2021

This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:

On May 3, Pettis County Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed near US 65 and US 50 highways. Deputies used RADAR to clock the driver at 63 miles per hours in a 35-mile-per hour zone. Erika Dyzubenko of Sedalia, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.

On May 2, Pettis County Deputies responded to the area of the iron bridge on South Grand Road, for a report of illegal dumping of animal carcasses.

On May 2, Pettis County Deputies took a missing person report from the 3000 block of Brooking Park Avenue. The missing person was located a short time later.

On May 2 around 7:15 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy responded to 1405 Elm Hills Boulevard, Lot 21, for a theft report. The reporting party said that around 6:15 p.m., someone stole her son's bicycle. The bike was valued at $300.

On May 1, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 200 block of East Olive in La Monte for a burglary report. No suspects were identified at the time. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff's Office.

On April 30, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop near Oak Grove Lane and Wisconsin Ave., for lane violations. During the stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, due to the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, Madison Boersma of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On April 30, a Pettis County Deputy responded to Save-A-Lot for a report of a man who was stabbed. While en route, he was advised the victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The Deputy made contact with the victim at the ER. The victim said his girlfriend cut him with a knife. The Deputy then made contact with the girlfriend and took her into custody for domestic assault. She was being held at the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges for assault.

On April 30, Pettis County Deputies arrested Allen Blackburn on an active warrant in the 1600 block of East Broadway.

On the morning of April 30, Pettis County Deputies took an assault report (4th degree) in the 3000 block of Brooking Park Avenue. Earlier that morning around 12:20 a.m., Deputies also responded to the same address for a property damage report. Employees said that a male had thrown a walking cane through a glass door of a bird cage, causing the glass to break into several pieces. Michael J. Arnhold was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, and charged with 2nd degree property damage.

On April 29 around 6 a.m., while in the area of 24150 Oak Grove Lane, Pettis County Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle out of Lincoln. The 2009 Saturn had not been reported stolen at the time of the call. The victim was contacted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office and the vehicle was later recovered by the victim.

On April 29 around 5 a.m., Pettis County Deputies took a report of a stolen 2000 copper-colored Chevy Cavalier from WireCo in Sedalia. The vehicle was later recovered in California, Mo., and one suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was not named in the report.

On April 28 at 11:37 p.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Cadillac for a traffic violation. During the stop, a computer check revealed that a passenger in the vehicle, Brenden Price, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Price was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On April 28 at 8:26 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to Highway 52 and Route B for a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway. The vehicle was towed due to it being a traffic hazard.

Om April 28 at 6:10 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the 24000 block of Smasal Road for a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Summer J. Teeter, was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. She was placed into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
