The 2022 Missouri State Fair will open in about two months and many of us will spend some time on the carnival midway. Here's everything you need to know about visiting the carnival at the Missouri State Fair. And keep scrolling to see the rides Wade Shows is bringing to the carnival midway this year.

Carnival Hours

The Missouri State Fair says the carnival will open by Noon CDT on weekdays, and at 11:00 AM CDT on weekends. The carnival midway will close nightly between 11:30 PM - 1:30 AM CDT at Wade Show's discretion. Weather conditions may also dictate what rides are operating and if the carnival is open or closed.

Carnival Tickets

Here is how much carnival wristbands and tickets will cost if you wait to purchase them on the midway during the Missouri State Fair:

Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands (good for one day) $30 on Mon-Thurs, $35 Fri-Sun, $17 on the final Sunday of the Fair. Tickets are sold in books of 5 for $6, 30 for $30, and 55 tickets for $50.

The Missouri State Fair has two ticket specials which will be available through Etix starting Friday, July 1  through Wednesday, August 10:

Unlimited ride carnival wristband good for one day: $24

Unlimited ride carnival wristband and adult admission to the fair: $34 (This package will also be available at Break Time Convenience Stores and Orscheln Home and Farm.)

Rides on the midway require anywhere from three tickets up to six tickets per rider. Scroll down to see pictures of the rides scheduled to be at the Fair, and how many tickets they require.

Wade Shows Ticket Pro Tip

Wade Shows don't recommend wristbands for children 36" in height or shorter because there are a limited number of rides they can go on. They also suggest parents with kids under 48" in height check the list as well, to make an informed decision on whether purchasing the wristband is the best money-saving value for that child. You can check out Wade Show's ride height requirement for enjoying their rides here.

61 Pictures of Smiling Faces and Sights of the Mo. State Fair

The best way to experience the Missouri State Fair is to go to the Missouri State Fair. Eat the food, enjoy some cold beverages, ride the rides, see the shows, go to the concerts. The second way is through the smiling faces and photos of the people there. During the 2021 Missouri State Fair, I asked you on Facebook, to post your state fair photos. What struck me most about your photos were all the smiling faces. Here's the collection of the photos you posted on our Facebook page.
