Sedalia Police were called on May 17 to Menards to investigate a theft case that involves Menards stores in four states.

According to a police report, a suspect entered the Sedalia Menards on March 22 and purchased an electric chainsaw. The suspect then went to the parking lot and allegedly removed the battery, then returned the chainsaw for a full refund. Police say this happened twice at the Sedalia Menards, and the suspect has committed the same crime a total of 38 times at Menards stores in four states.

Police say no arrests have been made in the case at this time.
