People near and far are making plans to visit Cafe' Blackadder one more time and are already mourning the end of the popular Warrensburg farm to table lunch and coffee spot ahead of its closing on November 12.

The comments are piling up on Cafe' Blackadder's Facebook page after the restaurant posted its closing announcement earlier this morning.

Michelle Anne writes, "This was one of me and my husband's favorite spots while I was in college. We loved the coffee, the cookies, and most importantly the people! We’ve got two little kiddos now and live across the state but we’re working out a way to come for one last visit!! So sad to see this one go, we’ve been trying to make it back for a while!"

A comment from Vida Olivares says, "Even though I’m 800 miles away this news makes me want to cry. Love you guys and was hoping to see you when I visit for thanksgiving."

Daniel Brigman reminisced about how he and his wife Michelle had their wedding reception at the cafe', and how it became part of their lives. His wife writes, "Julie and the staff members have been fabulous through the years. We are going to miss the camaraderie, the delicious meals, and the relaxed, environmentally-conscious atmosphere. You all are our family’s favorite."

In their post to customers the cafe' says:

It has been our pleasure to work with such a supportive and appreciative community. We want to thank you for all of your dedication and want you to know that every joyful experience you may have had at Cafe Blackadder was a mutually joyful experience for us as we served you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all that you’ve done to help us stay afloat through the years. We hope to see your smiling faces over the next few weeks before we have to say goodbye to a space that has become like a second home to our staff.

Their note invites all their customers to join them over the next few weeks to enjoy some of the treats they've been able to provide to the community over the past few years. Cafe' Blackadder's last day of service will be Saturday, November 12. Cafe' Blackadder is located at 121 N. Holden in Warrensburg.
