Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes, And More Fall Fun In West Central Missouri

I know I'm ready for fall.  We've had a little taste of cooler weather this week, and I'm ready for more of it.  I want changing leaves, I want hot chocolate, I want hoodies, I want hayrides, I want pumpkin patches, I want it all.  So you know I'm going to hook you up with some places to go to get your Fall Fix.

The first one to open this year will be Prairie's End Pumpkin Patch.  They're on 65 highway on your way to Cole Camp, and they open up on September 22nd.  I've been there, it's a lot of fun.  There's a huge slide, a corn maze, tractor rides, huge hay mountains, and tons of other stuff. The actual address is 10757 Highway 65. You'll see the sign.  Kids 2 and under are free, seniors (65 and older) and active military $7.00, ages 4-64 are $10.00. They open up on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Next open will be Pa Pa's PumpkinPatch.  I've never been to this one, and I so need to go.  They've got a ton of stuff to do, too:  bounce house, hay rides, corn box, straw tunnel, tube slide, hay pile, obstacle course, and a putting green, amongst other things. From what I can gather from their website they open up on September 29. They're open on Fridays – 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturdays – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sundays – Noon to 6:00 p.m. Cost is pretty reasonable, with age 2 to adult at $7.00. And, for Active Military personal, Law Enforcement, & First Responders you get in free with your Service ID. The address is 4610 Forest Park Road - to make it easier, just go to West 24th until you get to Kentucky, follow South Kentucky until you get to Forest Park Road (it'll be on the right).

Opening up in October will be Buckeye Acres in Warrensburg. During most of the year, they run a produce farm and hit up the local Farmer's Market.  During October, they also have a pumpkin patch offering pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, straw bales, hayrides, farm animals, picnic and photo areas, musical entertainment and more.  They're at 91 NE 600 Road, and I have no idea where that is, to be honest.  But I looked on their website, and here's how they give their directions: 

Buckeye Acres is located approximately 5 miles north of Warrensburg, MO just off Hwy 13. Travel north out of Warrensburg on 13 Highway. We are approximately 2 miles north of the round about. Turn east on 600 Rd and we are 1 mile down the gravel road. Feel free to call if you need any additional information about how to find us.

One more that I haven't been to is the Pixie Pumpkin Patch in Knob Noster. They also open in October.  They have hayrides, kiddie korn maze, corn pit, pony rides, goats, chickens, a pumpkin cannon, and lots of jams and popcorn.  They're open on weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  It's a $5 admission cost, and kids 2 and under get in for free.  They give their address as Mo-23, Whiteman Air Force Base, so I'm not sure if you have to have Base Access to go there.  I emailed the guy and asked, so as soon as he lets me know, I'll update things.
