On the afternoon of July 15, Sedalia Police observed a suspect driving a purple Cadillac.

Officers ran the suspect's information through MDT. The suspect showed to have active warrants out of Pettis County.

Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 1200 block of South Grand Avenue. The suspect was contacted, and his information was ran through Dispatch.

Dispatch advised he had three warrants out of Pettis County; one warrant for Stealing, a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Resisting Arrest.

James D. Baker, 47, was arrested on the warrants and transported to the Pettis County jail. Baker's total bond for the three warrants was set at $5,550 cash or surety.
