It wasn't too long ago that racetracks were plentiful in the Show-Me State. The good news for race fans in Missouri is more events are happening this year.

It was just a few years ago when I landed the job of track announcer at L.A. Raceway. You may remember the track and their great battles on Saturday nights. It was located west of Sedalia on Highway Y. Unfortunately, the track closed and left a void for race fans in west-central Missouri

Now most race fans head down 65 and west on 52 highway to Lucas Oil Speedway for their events throughout the season.

Another great spot to catch racing on Sundays is Double X Raceway in California, MO.

With the pandemic settling down (Hope, hope, hope) it should be another gret season of racing across the state. One series of racing you can find in 2021 at three raceways in Missouri will be The World of Outlaws.

According to worldofoutlaws.com/sprintcars, three exciting Missouri tracks are on deck for World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. The Greatest Show on Dirt heads for US-36, Lake Ozark & I-55 the end of this March and in April.

US36 Raceway in Osborn will host the sixth appearance in the series history on Friday, March 26. The next night the series rolls into Eldon at Lake Ozark Speedway for the $15,000/Win Jason Johnson Classic. Then for the trifecta the next weekend, the World of Outlaws Show-Me State Series stops in Pevely at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.
