Rain Causing Some Travel Issues and Cancellations This Afternoon

The rain we've gotten last night and tonight is causing some travel issues and cancellations this afternoon.

The Johnson County Emergency Management Agency is reporting the following road closures due to flooding or damange:

• AA Highway, North of Highway 58
• Route E between route MM and route CC
• Highway 23 between NE 950 and NE 1125

Additionally we're starting to see reports on Facebook of some flooding in the Sedalia area:

• Between 5th and 6th on Moniteau
• 5th and Missouri

As far as some of the cancellations due to the rain today:

• Grover Baptist Church in Warrensburg decided not to reschedule last night's cancelled fireworks show for tonight. They'll reschedule it later in the year as part of another event.
• Liberty and Centennial Pools in Sedalia closed until at least 3PM. Parks and Rec will evaluate to see if they can be opened then.
