If you've added walking and/or running to your daily regimen during the coronavirus pandemic, you can walk/jog your way to some cool stuff for a great cause with the St. Louis Cardinals, without even being at Busch Stadium.

More and more people are getting outdoors. With COVID-19 keeping us close to home and for some, working there, walking and jogging have become even more popular. Now that you've upped your game in that department, it's time to put it to good use!

You can run/walk a 5K sponsored by the St. Louis Cardinals and the best part is you can do it in your own neighborhood. The 2021 Cardinals 5K is currently taking registrations. It's presented by Bally Sports Midwest. Since it's a virtual event you can do it at your own pace, on the treadmill, outdoors or indoors. It's up to you.

If you're a walking /running fanatic you'll probably want to do this. If your a Cardinals' fan and you walk and/or jog, you'll definitely want to get in on this! Proceeds will benefit both the Cardinals Care Redbird Rookies Youth Softball and Baseball Program and Girls on the Run St. Louis.

If you participate not only will you receive an exclusive quarter-zip pullover but also a commemorative medallion that features a tribute to the late Cardinals and National Baseball Hall of Famer, Lou Brock.

If you or someone you know may be interested in the event, you can find out more information and/or register at cardinals.com/5k. If you do participate in the race, you're encouraged to share photos of your run/walk on social media at #Cards5K.
