S-C Musicians Earn All-district Honors

Smith-Cotton High School instrumental music students performed Saturday in all-district auditions at Warrensburg High School.

Competing with about 325 students from 35 schools, more than 20 S-C students earned all-district recognition, with five Tigers – Holden Fox, Barrett Neal, Wyatt Flandermeyer, Lennyn DeLeon and Alisa Sonnik – being awarded first chair for their instrument.

Based on their all-district placements, the following students are eligible to audition for all-state honors on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Hickman High School in Columbia:

Fox, Brewington, Flandermeyer, DeLeon, Wyatt, Sonnik, Brandon Biggs, Caleb Ehlers, Aaron Dmitruk, Regina Robinson, Darren Sanchez, Eddie Alvarez, Ethan Fones, Isaiah Acosta and Savannah Simon.
