Smith-Cotton High School senior Paris Hammer has accepted athletic and academic
scholarships to play softball at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

Hammer, the daughter of Jessica and Florian Hammer, played softball for the Lady
Tigers all four years of high school, earning letters each year. She earned Academic All-State honors in 2020, 2021 and 2022. She was named to the 2020 All-District Second Team, 2022 All-Conference Second Team, and the 2022 All-District Second Team.

Hammer also was named Bryan Jenkins State Farm Insurance Athlete of the Week.
Amy Miller, Smith-Cotton softball head coach, said: "Paris is not only a wonderful
person to be around, she also is a well-rounded athlete. She is always willing to do what
it takes for her team and will be a great asset to the Bethany College Swedes. Paris is
dedicated and well deserving to go on and continue her passion of playing college
softball.”
