Smith-Cotton High School senior Adamaris Ramirez has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at State Fair Community College in Sedalia.

Ramirez, the daughter of Claudia and Edgar Ramirez, is a three-time varsity
letter winner for the Lady Tigers soccer team, serving one year to date as
captain.

She has scored 38 career goals with a season high of 29 (2021), a
school record; she also has logged 22 career assists. She was named to the
Central Missouri Activities Conference All-Conference Second Team in 2021,
and earned All-District First Team honors in 2019 and 2021.

SFCC Women’s Soccer Head Coach Jaime Beltran sees Ramirez bringing a high soccer intellect to the Lady Roadrunners.

“Players who can be smart on the field are hard to find,” he said. “That is
something we noticed in her when we saw her a couple of years ago when I
was looking at some of my current players. We are excited about seeing if
she can translate that to the next level and do some really good things for
us."

S-C Girls Soccer Head Coach Meredith Brick said: “Adamaris has been a
dynamic force in our offensive success throughout her high school career.
She has welcomed underclassmen and rookies into our squad with open
arms and positive words. Her quality work ethic in trainings and games
shows how she also leads by example. We are excited to see Adamaris take
her game to the collegiate level."

Beltran said it has become somewhat of a tradition to have one or two Lady
Tigers alums on his roster.

“We are excited about adding her to the program,” he said. “They have
done well for us and I hope she continues that.”
