The railcar at Kehde's Barbeque transformed into the Polar Express, taking Ms. Kay Keele and her Sacred Heart four-year-old preschool students on a magical journey to the 'North Pole' on Monday, Dec. 17.

Donned in PJs and holding a golden ticket, each student was greeted by the conductor, performed by Dr. Jim Davis, former SHS assistant principal.

Once aboard the 'Polar Express,' passengers enjoyed fresh hot cocoa, candy canes, marshmallows, crispy treats and homemade snowballs as they listened to the conductor read the book The Polar Express.

The special day included a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who gave a jingle bell to everyone.
