Sacred Heart placed fifth at the West Central Conference Classic Thursday night at the Joseph W. Arbisi Memorial Swimming Pool, completing against Warrensburg, Smith-Cotton, St. Pius, St. Michaels and Marshall.

“The ladies did an amazing job tonight and all of their hard work in practice is paying off with the great times they are earning in their events.  They head to the Belton Invitational on Friday and Saturday,” according to Coach Michelle Steger.

Here are some of the swimming Gremlins' new personal records:

Camille Schear: 200 IM with a time of 2:13.79 earning a 1st place.  Also a first place finish in the 100 free with a time of 55:15

Kate Carney: 200 IM with a time of 2:50.91 earning third place & in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:19.93 earning a 2nd place finish

Arly Ponce: 100 butterfly with a time of 1:25.82 earning a fourth place finish & a first place finish in the 100 breaststroke

Kelsey Hudson: 200 free with a time of 2:59.38 earning a ninth place finish.

The 200 Medley Relay & the Free Relay (Ponce, Hudson, Schear, & Carney) both placed second
