The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team shut out Green Ridge with a 6-0 win Wednesday night in Stover.

Senior George Bain scored from a Jackson Manning assist just minutes into the game. At the 23-minute mark, Jackson scored a goal assisted by senior Traven Wheeler. Less than five minutes later, Jackson scored again, this time from an assist from fellow senior Andres Vanegas making the score 3-0. Sophomore Gabriel Malacara scored on an assist from junior Ramses Rivera-Montoya to close the first half.

The rain held off, but with the high humidity, it was a chilly second half. Credit goes to the Green Ridge goalie who made multiple stops from several different Gremlin players attempting to score. With 19 minutes left, junior Josh Pacheco scored a goal (on his birthday!) and just 3 minutes later, senior Jackson Manning scored his third goal, achieving a hat trick.

The final score was Sacred Heart 6, Green Ridge 0.

Sacred Heart plays Stover for the Kaysinger Conference Tournament Championship Friday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m., in Stover.
