Early this morning at 12:35 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to 1503 Driftwood Drive for a reported domestic violence incident, in which a female stated that a male was holding her at gunpoint.

Upon arrival, officers, with the assistance of Pettis County Deputies, formed a perimeter around the residence.

The female managed to get away from the home.

Officers then called out the male, who eventually came out of the residence.

35-year-old Nathaniel Aaron Swartz was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he faces charges of 1st degree felony domestic assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, kidnapping and tampering with a victim or witness in a felony prosecution.
