Sedalia Police responded to Casey's, 1601 E. Broadway, for a disturbance at 5:43 a.m. Saturday.

A subject involved had a Pettis County $7500 cash or surety warrant. When officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted arrest.

After a brief struggle, 31-year-old Larry David Hopkins, Jr., of Sedalia, was taken into custody and placed in handcuffs. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Hopkins was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges of felony resisting arrest, felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was also booked on the warrant. Hopkins was also wanted on two FTA warrants out of Benton County.
