Sedalia Motorcyclist Injured in Pettis County

A Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Friday night in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2012 Honda Odyssey, driven by 44-year-old Tetiana Perets of Overland Park, Kan., attempted to make a left turn onto South Park Avenue around 7:15 p.m., one-quarter mile north of Elm Hills Blvd., and pulled into the path of a northbound 2002 Honda motorcycle, driven by 39-year-old Thomas D. Church of Sedalia.

The motorcycle had just crested a hill. Both drivers braked to avoid a crash, the Patrol said. The motorcycle slid into the left front corner of the Odyssey and Church was ejected from the motorcycle.

Church suffered serious injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.
