Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the 2600 block of Plaza Avenue for a report of an assist agency. Upon arrival, Officers assisted the Children's Division with conducting a preliminary interview with a juvenile victim. The victim spoke about a possible sexual assault that had happened at her father's house in Gravois Mills, Missouri.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Goody's Steakburger restaurant, 901 South Limit, for a license violation. The driver of the vehicle had a revoked driver's license and was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, who was unnamed in the report, was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Aaron W. Argenbright, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Suspended with a bond amount to be determined.  The report does not list the passenger as being arrested.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers met with a Wal Mart loss prevention employee in reference to trespassing. They advised that on Tuesday, they recognized someone in the store who was permanently trespassed from the store since 2015 for shoplifting. Municipal charges are being requested on the subject, who left the business after being confronted.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Station lobby for a possible sex crime report Wednesday morning. The caller asked that Police look at some images she found on her husband's computer in the 100 block of East 11th Street. After viewing the images, they were found to be anime. It was determined that no crime had been committed.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in regards to harassment Wednesday afternoon. Julia Frauline Green reported the harassment that has been occurring since December of 2020 in the 900 block of West 16th Street. The suspect is known at this time and a report was completed over the incident.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in regards to a theft from a vehicle. Angelo Ramos Vasques reported the theft happened between Sunday March 28th and Tuesday March 30th near the 1000 block of South Moniteau Avenue. The property stolen was valued at approximately $600.


 

Officers stopped a car in the area of East 6th Street and South Marvin Avenue Wednesday morning for not having a front license plate and moving violations. A DOR check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. Jeremy Austin McDaniel, 30, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail. McDaniel was booked and released, but Officers are also requesting a state charge of Failing to Maintain Financial Responsibility.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 18th Street and South Limit Avenue in reference to a non injury accident. Upon arrival, Officers made contact the drivers of both vehicles. During the investigation, it was discovered that one of the drivers was "huffing" an air duster, which caused the collision. State charges of Driving While Intoxicated are being pursued on the driver, who was unnamed in the report.
