Early Wednesday morning, a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of East 5th Street and South Summit Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active/confirmed warrant for a probation/parole violation on original charges of Assault in the 2nd Degree. Jeremy M. Lawson, 36, of Warsaw, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Monday night, Officers responded near the area of South Arlington and East 14th Street for a possible hit and run report. Officers made contact with the victim, who said her parked car had been struck by another vehicle and that vehicle had fled the scene. No one was inside the victim's vehicle at the time. The victim wished to pursue charges.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of Winchester Drive and West 10th Street for a report of a hit and run accident Monday afternoon. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Courtney S. Bell. Bell stated that sometime between Sunday evening and Monday afternoon, someone struck her parked vehicle and left the scene without making contact. Officers took photos of the damage on the rear bumper and attached them to the report.


 

Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Madison Avenue for a warrant check Monday afternoon. The person in question was contacted and confirmed to have an active arrest warrant out of the State of Wisconsin for probation violation with no bond. Eric Arnold Miller, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing. Miller was placed on a 24 hour hold on charges of Fugitive From Justice.


 

On the morning of April 8th, Sedalia Police stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic violation at East Broadway Boulevard and South Engineer Avenue. During the course of the contact, the odor of an illegal drug was detected, which resulted in a probable cause search. The probable cause search resulted in the discovery of illegal drugs and drug equipment. Dmitrii Cosurco, 19, of Hughesville, was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Sedalia Police Department for processing.
