Sedalia Police Reports For December 8, 2022

On the night of December 3rd, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Woods Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to an intoxicated subject. When Officers arrived, they observed an intoxicated male passed out on the sidewalk in front of the business. Sergei S. Gladush Jr., 43, Homeless, was arrested for safekeeping and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour hold. Four days later, Police were sent to the Casey's store, 3050 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a report of Gladush being intoxicated inside the store. Gladush had been inside the store earlier that evening and had been asked to leave. Officers contacted Gladush and told him employees wanted him to leave. He was asked to leave, and he left the store on foot. Officers remained in the area however, and Gladush returned to the store again a short time later. Gladush was highly intoxicated and was not able to care for himself. Gladush had urinated all over himself, and was taken into protective custody. He blew a .324 on the preliminary breath test (PBT) on scene. Officers transported Gladush to the Bothwell Regional Health Center to get a fit for confinement check done. Once he was cleared, he was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on another 12 hour protective custody hold.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning in the area of East 5th Street and South Osage Avenue. The vehicle was driving with no head lights on. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Tiffani Hope Perez, 29, of Lincoln, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Perez was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC to be above 0.08. Perez was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for DWI and released to a sober driver.

Early Saturday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the area of North Ohio Avenue and East Pettis Street. The vehicle had been failing to maintain its lane. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Andrew E. Jackson, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender). Jackson was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed her BAC to be above 0.08. Jackson was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, for a report of a subject on scene with a warrant. Upon arrival, Officers located the subject on scene. Officers then confirmed he had a Failure to Appear warrant and a criminal summons Probation Violation warrant from Henry County. James Edward Peek Jr., 48, of La Monte, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Nuisance Violations with a cash only bond of $200. Peek also had a criminal summons Probation Violation warrant from Henry County on original charges of felony Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Peek was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Officers took a complaint Wednesday morning from Jeremy E. Pointer of theft. Pointer stated that someone used his Food Stamp card without his permission. Pointer had been in jail during the time the charges were on his card. There was a difference on his balance of about $220 from the time he went to and departed from jail. At this time, there are no suspects.
