Monday morning, Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a parked car. On arrival, Officers made contact with a subject involved. A computer check of his information revealed his driving privileges in Missouri were revoked. He was also unable to provide proof of insurance. Trevon M. Gravitt, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released for Driving While Revoked and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Police Department lobby Monday morning in reference to a report of failure to return rental property. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated his business, Wilken Music, had rented out property to an individual who has not made payments or returned the property.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 3rd Street in reference to a previous burglary. Officers spoke with Leon Beamon, who stated someone entered his residence and stole some items. The suspect has not been identified.


 

Officers took a report of theft in the lobby of the Police Department Monday afternoon. Officers spoke with Suzanna B. Donovan, who stated she had multiple items stolen from her residence in the 400 block of East Howard Street. The suspect has yet to be determined.


 

Sedalia Police investigated a burglary in the 1900 block of South Missouri Avenue Monday evening. Steven Rhoads reported that someone forced entry into the residence. It was apparent a person or persons had gone through items inside the residence. At the time of the report, nothing was found to be missing.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Officers observed a silver Cadillac driving carelessly and erratically. It quickly turned from southbound Engineer, west onto 18th Street, south on Summit, west onto 20th, and then pulled into an address in the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue. The driver had a Lee's Summit warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Austin August Boatcher, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant. Boatcher was transported to the Pettis County jail, to be booked and released.

Sedalia Police were called to the Burger King restaurant, 1101 South Limit Avenue on Monday night. Police were dispatched for a trespassing complaint. Campbell Toliver reported a subject was warned about trespassing the previous night, and that subject had returned. The suspect was identified and told to leave. The suspect left the business. The complainant wished to pursue prosecution.


 

In the early morning hours of February 10th, a car was stopped in the area of West 32nd Street and South Kentucky Avenue for moving violations and indicators of impaired driving. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Gavin T. Elliot, 20, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Elliot was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on state charges.


 

A car was stopped in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Arlington Avenue for excessive speed on the night of February 9th. The driver was intoxicated and in possession of a large amount of marijuana. Nathan E. Seifner, 21, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and felony Possession of Marijuana. Seifer was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked before being released to a sober driver.


 

Last Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle hit and run crash that occurred on West Broadway Boulevard. The accident happened in the left hand lane, before the intersection of South State Fair Boulevard. A 2010 Ford Fusion was rear-ended by a maroon in color pickup truck. The crash is under investigation.
