Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Osage Avenue for a report of a burglary. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Linda S. Volden. Volden stated that sometime between December 25th and January 26th, someone stole $4,000 from her apartment. There are no suspects at this time. Officers took photos of the scene and attached them to the case.


 

A SUV was stopped in the area of Sellers Road and East Broadway Boulevard early Thursday morning, as it was failing to maintain its lane. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. The driver still had methamphetamine caked to his nose. The driver was arrested and while in the patrol car, attempted to swallow drugs. He also dropped other controlled substance in the seat. Burl A. Brown, 64, of Sedalia, was taken to the hospital and then the jail, where he was booked in on a 24-hour hold. Brown faces state charges of felony Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of an Imitation Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.


 

Sedalia Police observed aan vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign in the area of West 7th Street and South Quincy Avenue early Thursday morning. After a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer check, the driver was found to be revoked. While speaking to the driver, Officers also noticed signs of intoxication. After investigation, Timothy Branch, 33, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Revoked and Driving While Intoxicated.


 

On the morning of January 23rd, Officers responded to the Cenex store, 120 East 16th Street in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, it was determined a suspect had that had committed a theft was at the business. Jasmine U. McCartney, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested for Stealing From a Motor Vehicle and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Wednesday night, Officers observed a silver passenger vehicle with no license plate lights in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and Harding Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and a computer check of the driver showed her license was suspended. Megan E. Craig, 28, of Green Ridge, was placed under arrest for Driving While Suspended and later released roadside.


 

Sedalia Police observed a silver Chevrolet Malibu with expired registration Wednesday afternoon. A traffic stop was initiated in the area of East 3rd Street and South Brown Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver and ran his information through Dispatch. Dispatch advised the suspect's driving status was revoked, and had a warrant out of Pettis County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dale Lee Anson II, 30, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond of $7,500.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the Elite Dry Cleaners, 3232 West 16th Street, to take a report of a found bicycle. The bicycle was left abandoned early Sunday morning by an unknown subject. The bicycle was collected and is being stored at the Sedalia Police Department.
