Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 17th Street in reference to a trespassing call. The caller stated a man was trying to enter her home and was making violent threats towards her and her husband. The caller provided Dispatch with a description of the suspect. Officers made contact with the suspect while en route to the call. Another Officer made contact with the reporting party, who wished to press charges for harassment. After a brief struggle, the suspect was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Jeremy E. Pointer, 43, Homeless, was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Harassment in the 1st Degree and felony Resisting Arrest.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue that was failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted, and during the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. McCord Deken, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Deken was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle last Tuesday morning in the area of South Ohio Avenue and West 24th Street. The vehicle was drifting back and forth between lanes. A traffic stop was conducted, and during the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Mark Dewayne Meyers, 58, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Meyers was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Officers observed a vehicle travelling westbound on West Broadway Boulevard Saturday morning that was failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Road. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Beningno R. Antonio Rayon, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Rayon was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Driving While Intoxicated and released to a sober driver.


 

Last Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to an accident on Clarendon Road south of West 16th Street. When Officers arrived, they made contact with the driver. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Sarah Loomis, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC to be above 0.08. Loomis was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle travelling on West Broadway Boulevard Saturday morning at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was also drifting in and out of its lane of travel. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at West Broadway Boulevard and South Park Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Svitlana Avramenko, 46, of Sedalia was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the BRHC for a blood draw. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated has been submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue for a report of domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim, who stated she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The female had several bruises and marks on her from the incident. Contact was later made with the suspect, and he was placed under arrest. The suspect also had a warrant for his arrest from Warren County. Cameron R. Fehr, 20, of Sedalia, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, felony Resisting Arrest, and his Failure to Appear warrant on felony charges of Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree (1st or Second Offense). Fehr was taken to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $1500 cash or surety on the FTA warrant.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street, for a report of a dog running at large. Upon arrival, Officers took the dog into custody and brought it to the Animal Shelter.


 

Saturday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 32nd Street and Erika Avenue. The driver was found to have a revoked driver's license. Edgar Lemus Rodriguez, 20, of La Monte, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Rodriguez was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was fingerprinted and released with a summons.

Sunday morning, Officers were on patrol in the area of East Boonville Street and Watson Street when they observed a wooden gate for the entrance to the Katy Trail had been damaged. It is unknown at this time exactly how the damage was caused.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General store, 619 North Ohio Avenue Sunday morning in reference to a subject check. A computer check of the subject showed they had an active Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Larceny/Stealing. Sarita L. Leon, 60, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Resisting Arrest and then transported to the BRHC for a fit for confinement check. Once she was cleared, Leon was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a cash only bond of $100 on her FTA warrant.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of West 3rd Street Sunday afternoon in reference to property damage. The reporting party stated that his vehicle was "egged". This is the fourth time this has happened between Sunday and October of 2022.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Kentucky Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller stated his ex-girlfriend had slapped him in the face before leaving the residence. Charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being sought.


 

Sedalia Police received a phone call Sunday evening in regards to theft. Judy Young reported money was stolen from the 300 block of West Pettis Street. A report was completed.


 

Friday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of West 11th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers conducted an on-scene investigation, which led to the arrest of one male suspect. Franklin Eli Crowder, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Violence in the 4th Degree. Crowder was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.
