Wednesday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of East 9th Street in reference to a follow up call. The family of a deceased family member located drugs and drug paraphernalia while moving items out of the deceased person's home. The items were taken and entered into evidence for destruction.


 

Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Monroe Avenue Wednesday morning for a subject check. Contact was made with a male subject, who had an active Howard County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Michael L. Holleman, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $5,000 cash only.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, in reference to a property damage report Wednesday morning. A paper towel dispenser was broken off the wall, leaves were thrown in toilets, and it appeared someone attempted to start a fire in the bathroom.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers met with John Madrid in the Sedalia Police Department's lobby regarding an identity theft. An unknown suspect was able to access Madrid's personal information and use it online.


 

Officers stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, as its registered owner showed a warrant for their arrest. The driver was the owner and the warrant was confirmed. Zyon Dawnee Bell, 22, of Warrensburg, had a City of Sedalia Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Bell was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked pending $100 cash only bond.


 

On the night of December 29th, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 5th Street and South Hancock Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. Joseph Wayne Bartlett, 39, of Slater, was booked and released on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

On the afternoon of December 28th, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Main Street and South Park Avenue for a license violation. The driver of the vehicle had two active Parole Violation warrants for his arrest on original charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Curtis Lee Andrews, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue last Wednesday evening for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle had an active Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Wesley Leroy Ditzfeld, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested with a $126.00 cash only bond.
