Wednesday evening, Officers took a theft report from the 1100 block of East 11th Street. Carlos A. Aquirre stated his license plates were stolen off of his truck and he wanted to make a report. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report from the lobby of the Police Station Wednesday evening. Ashley Black reported a Nintendo Switch console had been stolen from the 2100 block of East Broadway Boulevard between July 4th and July 12th. Information was collected from the report, and the stolen item will be entered to MULES.


 

On the night of July 4th, Officers observed a passenger car fail to stop at a red light in the 4000 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified. A computer check of the driver's information showed she had an active warrant for Failure to Appear from Pettis County on original charges of Speeding. Lacey Sienna Stokes, 24, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Stokes was booked on her warrant, given a $176 cash only bond, and later released to a relative.

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to an identity theft claim. Officers spoke with Draven Lee Miller, who stated someone opened two bank accounts under his name without his knowledge or permission. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
