Sunday night, Officers responded to the 900 block of South New York Avenue in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with all parties. Officers determined the male suspect to be the primary physical aggressor. Ciro Morales-Obregon, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


Last Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Morgan Street in reference to a hit and run accident. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Tina Yvonne Cole. Cole said she parked her car earlier in the day, and when she came out, she discovered it had been hit. No arrests have been made at this time.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Winchester Drive Saturday afternoon for a report of found property. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Lacey Battles, who stated that someone had left several bags of clothes behind the office. The bags were collected and placed into found property.


Officers were dispatched to the Appliance Shop, 701 West Main Street Saturday afternoon for a report of found property. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Kenneth M. Guertin. Guertin stated he located a small black bag behind his shop. The bag contained a cell phone, drugs, and a scale. The items were collected and placed into found property.


Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Osage Avenue for a report of burglary. Contact was made with Brannon Sepulveda Blackburn, who reported that sometime in the over night, the lock on his shed was cut. Several of his tools were stolen from inside.


Sedalia Police responded to the Missouri State Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon for a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with multiple subjects, who reported a male suspect was intoxicated and had caused the disturbance. Ronnie J. Godfrey, 40, of Lake Andes South Dakota, was taken into protective custody. Godfrey was placed on a 12 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail for safekeeping.

Saturday morning, Officers checked a residence in the 1100 block of West 7th Street for a subject who had a City of Sedalia Failure to Appear warrant. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and Dispatch confirmed the warrant. William Rivera, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested for his FTA warrant on original charges of Animal At Large. Rivera transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $89.00 cash only bond.


Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue Saturday afternoon in reference to a male lying on the front porch of the residence. Officers attempted to make contact with the man, but could not get a response. PCAD responded and pronounced the man deceased. The cause of death is currently unknown.


Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of South Ingram Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a male subject and his juvenile son. The juvenile was refusing to go home after committing felony property damage. Officers convinced the juvenile to go home and a report was taken. Charges are being requested through the juvenile office.


Officers arrived to a disturbance on the Missouri State Fairgrounds Saturday evening. Upon arrival, Officers conducted an investigation. The results led to a person being issued a non-expiring trespass warning and given a ride to the front gate. He was released at the front gate, and proceeded to throw trash he'd been carrying all along the roadway. Dwight Albert Trester II, 60, of Ionia, was arrested for Littering. Trester was transported to the Sedalia Police Department where was fingerprinted and issued a summons.


Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to the area of West 10th Street and South Ohio Avenue in reference to a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a male and a female subject. Both subjects were intoxicated. Both subject's information was checked with Dispatch. It was confirmed the male subject had two Probation Violation warrants on original charges of felony Driving While Revoked. The male subject was also found to be in possession of controlled substances and related paraphernalia. Justin A. Stone, 41, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Stone was booked in on his Probation Violation warrants, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Identity Theft. The female subject, Nickie E. Smith, 36, Homeless, was highly intoxicated and could not care for herself. Smith was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold for Safekeeping.


Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard late Saturday night for a reported missing person incident involving a juvenile. The caller was the juvenile. The juvenile was in need of medical attention. PCAD arrived and transported the female to the MU Hospital for injuries sustained. The juvenile was not missing, and legal guardians were contacted to inform them of the incident.


On the night of July 16th, Officers conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation in the area of East 16th Street and South Engineer Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a statewide extradition warrant out of Jackson County. The warrant was for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Under the Influence. Idiel Aguilar-Morales, of Kansas City, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $5,000 bond.


Saturday night, Officers responded to the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard, to speak to a wanted suspect. When Officers arrived on the scene, the suspect was identified. The suspect had a warrant out of St Clair County for Failure to Appear on original charges of felony Abuse or Neglect of a Child (Non Sexual), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree. Shannon Wayne Cramer, 19, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $5,000 cash only bond.


Early Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray Chevrolet Equinox that did not have registration on the rear of the vehicle. The stop occurred in the area of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. The driver was found to not have a driver's license. Darrell Wayne Nease, 38, of Sedalia, was given a summons for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License and released from the scene with a court date.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Missouri Friday morning for a report of found property. Officers met with Patricia Lorelei Cormier, who stated someone had left a new adult bicycle in her car port. The serial number was checked on the bike, and it did not come back as stolen. The bicycle was collected and placed into found property.


Friday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on West Main Street, west of Highway 65's overpass. An occupant identified inside the vehicle was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Mark Allen Brookfelt, 28, of Tipton, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on a 24 hour hold. Brookfelt was booked on state charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


Sedalia Police responded to the Thompson Hills Shopping Center Friday night for a report of a person lying down in a ditch behind a business. Upon arrival, contact was made with Lacey Battles, 37, Homeless. Battles was found to be under the influence of intoxicants and not able to care for herself. Battles was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.


Friday morning, Officers responded to the 300 block of East 6th Street in reference to a firearm being found in a resident's front lawn. Officers spoke with the caller, Russell Perkins, who said the firearm was not his. Officers took possession of the gun.


Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Missouri State Fairgrounds Camping Area in reference to trespassing. The suspect was found to have a Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Rebecca S. Eidson, 59, Homeless, was arrested on her warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked with no bond.
