Sunday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 14th Street in reference to a disturbance. Individuals on the scene stated a pick up truck left the road way and drove through his lawn. Before Officers cleared the call, they made contact with a pick up truck that matched the description given. Roy L. Vickers, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Vickers was released on the scene to care for his juvenile daughter who was staying with him for the summer. Felony charges of Driving While Revoked will be sought with the state.


 

Officers responded to a traffic complaint call Sunday night that originated in the area of South Summit Street and East Broadway Boulevard. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the suspect car near West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. The driver was believed by Officers to be driving while intoxicated by narcotics. Angela Dawn Livergood, 43, of Columbia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail to be released to a sober party. A state charge of Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs was submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor's office.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Centennial Park, 1500 East 16th Street, after Guardsman Security located locks pried off of multiple concession stands Sunday night. It did not appear that anything was stolen from the stands at this time.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the 2900 block of James Road for a report of a domestic disturbance. Both parties claimed minor injury from the other. A primary aggressor was not determined. The parties separated for the night and a 12 hour log was entered.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Vermont Avenue for a report of a runaway juvenile. When Officers arrived, they made contact with the reporting party, Wayne H. Combs Sr., who is the juvenile's Grandfather. Combs stated that the juvenile was dropped off at the Smith Cotton Junior High that morning for JROTC. Combs further stated that they came back to pick her up that afternoon, and was informed the students were dismissed earlier that morning. His Granddaughter never came home. She was described as 14 year old white female with brown hair, wearing a black hoodie, black slacks, camouflage boots, and had a back pack. There was no further information on who she could be with.


 

Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a gray Toyota Tacoma Friday morning in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and Crescent Avenue for a moving violation. After making contact with the driver, a consent search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia containing a crystal substance that tested positive as methamphetamine. Jeffery R. Allen, 60, of Sedalia, was arrested and searched incident to arrest, locating more paraphernalia on his person. Allen was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. State charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are being requested.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the area of East 9th Street and South Murray Avenue for a property damage report. On arrival, Officers met with Jack Benton, how stated a suspect threw a large rock at his car, causing damage. The damage was valued at $300. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of West 16th Street for a disturbance early Sunday morning. When Officers arrived, they made contact with a male and a female. The subjects lived together, and had a verbal argument that turned physical. Both subjects had minor injuries and both stories were conflicting. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined, so a 12 hour log was done to document the incident.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car for failing to maintain its lane in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Lamine Avenue. The driver was suspected of driving while intoxicated, and performed sobriety tests. It was determined by Officers the driver was intoxicated, and he was arrested. Marvino Damry, 41, of Sedalia, was taken to the Police Department and released with city tickets for Driving While Intoxicated and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 500 block of Wilkerson Street for a vehicle failing to display license plates. Cruz Escobar, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department for Driving While Suspended. Escobar was released with a court date.


 

Saturday night, Emergency Crews responded to the intersection of South Limit Avenue and West 16th Street in reference to a vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a northbound Jeep collided with a Hyundai that was stopped on the inside lane of northbound Limit near West 16th Street. That impact caused the Hyundai to travel forward, where it collided with the rear of a Dodge. After the initial impact, the Jeep travelled in reverse before leaving the west side of the roadway and colliding with the decorative "Welcome to the Missouri State Fair" display and coming to rest. The driver of the Jeep died on the scene. The crash is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact the Sedalia Police Traffic Unit.


 

Early Saturday morning, a truck was stopped in the area of South Lafayette Avenue and East 3rd Street for moving violations. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Christina Elaine Radu, 38, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Radu was transported to the Sedalia Police Headquarters, then released to a sober person on a municipal charge of Driving While Intoxicated with a court date.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of East 7th Street and South Center Avenue Saturday evening because they recognized the driver as a subject with a suspended license. A check through Dispatch confirmed the driver's license was status was suspended. Brook E. Dowell, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested, taken to the Police Department, and released with a city ticket for Driving While Suspended with a court date.


 

Saturday night, Officers initiated an investigative traffic stop on a car near East 5th Street and South Vermont Avenue, to see if the driver was the owner of the vehicle. The owner's license status was revoked. The driver was the owner and his license status was revoked. Anthony Lamar Melton, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on charges of Driving While Revoked.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West Main Street and South Quincy Avenue for report of harassment Sunday night. The suspect was following the victim in her car. Officers located the suspect vehicle near the incident address and made an investigative traffic stop near East 6th Street and South Missouri Avenue. The vehicle was searched due to the odor of marijuana present inside. Marijuana was located and seized for destruction. No charges were sought in the marijuana violation or the harassment.


 

Last Tuesday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department, the Sedalia Fire Department, and the Pettis County Ambulance District were dispatched to the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive in reference to a possible dead body. Upon arrival, the victim was located, obviously deceased. The Pettis County Coroner was contacted to respond to the scene. After the next of kin was contacted, they requested the Rea Funeral Home for the arrangements. The victim's body was transported to the Rea Funeral Home.


 

On the night of July 22nd, the Police Department's Crime Resolution Unit conducted a subject check at the Auto Zone store, 2601 West Broadway Boulevard. During the check, a subject was found to have a Benton County warrant for Drug Trafficking with no bond. Crystal Renee Streett, 44, of Cole Camp, was arrested without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident. It was reported that an SUV struck a parked car. Following an investigation, the driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated. Jose Anibal Aquirre, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and having No Operator's License. Aquirre was processed and released from the Sedalia Police Department with a court date. Both vehicles were towed.


 

Friday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car for failing to stop at a stop sign and stopping over the stop line near East 7th Street and South Brown Avenue. A check through Dispatch showed the driver's license status was revoked. Quinton Noel Gano, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of North Quincy Avenue for an unrelated call. While inside the residence, Officers observed deplorable living conditions in the house. There were two juveniles present inside the house. Due to unsanitary living conditions, a report was completed for documentation. A hotline call was completed to the Missouri Abuse and Neglect Hotline.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of property damage Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Annie Grace Anderson, who stated her juvenile son damaged an interior wall of their home. A Juvenile Referral was completed.


 

Last Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the Police Department Lobby for a theft report. When Officers arrived, they met with Jeffrey Edgar Gary. Gary stated that he and his wife were shopping at the Walgreens store, 801 South Limit Avenue, when he placed some medications into his vehicle. Gary stated that when he later went to remove the medications from his vehicle, the medications had been gone through and some were missing. The case is still ongoing.


 

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Stacy Lane last Tuesday afternoon for a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they made contact with Dustin G. Mahan, who stated that a male had busted out his car window with a baseball bat and left a dent in his fender. The investigation is still ongoing.


 

Friday morning, Officers responded to the Sonic restaurant, 300 West Broadway Boulevard, for a juvenile call. When Officers arrived, they made contact with two juveniles that stated they were from New Haven. The juveniles stated that they refused to go back. Officers were able to get one of the juveniles to go with New Haven staff, and transported to the other juvenile to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.


 

Friday afternoon, a subject brought a debit card he located in the 300 block of West 5th Street in to the Police Department. Contact was attempted with the owner, but they could not be reached. The card was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
