Early Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of West Main Street in reference to found property. A women's mountain bike was located just off the roadway. The bike will be placed into the bike shed as found property.


 

Officers took a report of a vehicular accident late Monday night from Gregory H. Sawford. Sawford reported his vehicle was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Clinton Road and West 24th Street. The other vehicle left the scene. Sawford followed the suspect vehicle to the city limits, obtaining a license plate number. Later in the evening, the MSHP contacted and identified the driver. Charges of Leaving The Scene of an Accident are being submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.


 

Late Tuesday night, Sedalia Police contacted a subject at the Casey's General Store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard. The suspect had an active warrant for Resisting Arrest. Joseph R. Luera Sr., 44, of Sedalia, was arrested without incident. Luera was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police took a property damage report Tuesday night in the 600 block of South New York Avenue. After investigation, it was determined the damage occurred in the late afternoon or early evening of that same day. It is not clear how the damage occurred. The value of the damage was set at approximately $100.

Officers responded to the Econolodge, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday night for a report of unwanted subjects on the property. During contact with the subjects, one of them was found to have an active Pettis County warrant for a Probation Violation on original charges of child support violations. Nickie E. Smith, 36, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond on the warrant was set at $500 cash only.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of Thompson Road for a warrant check. On arrival, Officers made contact with the subject. A computer check through Dispatch confirmed her to have an active warrant out of Pettis County. Michaelle J. Kopp, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Kopp was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash bond of $2,000 and a surety bond of $2,500.


 

Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department Tuesday morning in reference to a missing person. The subject was last seen on Monday morning at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street. The subject has not been located at this time. The subject's information was entered as a missing person.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the Clover Dell Park, 5301 West 32nd Street in reference to property damage. Someone attempted to break into a shed belonging to the Paul Klover Soccer Association on the property. Approximately $1500 in damage was caused to the shed. It did not appear the subject made entry into the shed, and nothing was reported to be missing. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Shabby 2 Chic Boutique, 2205 South Limit Avenue in response to a vandalism report. Kimberly A. Shrader reported to Officers someone drove through the parking lot Sunday night and threw eggs on an enclosed trailer parked on the lot. The case is under investigation.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Station lobby Tuesday morning in reference to a property damage report. Officers spoke with Michael D. Rayl, who stated a juvenile had been running up and kicking his garage door. The juvenile was also messing with his front door, located in the 2400 block of West 3rd Street. A value has not yet been determined on the damage. The investigation is ongoing.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Sneed Avenue in reference to a property damage report Monday morning. Officers spoke with Rebecca G. Lujan, who said someone attempted to pry open her driver's side door, causing damage to the vehicle. The damage occurred between the night of July 3rd and the morning of July 4th.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Open Door Center, 111 West 6th Street, for a report of property damage. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Michelle A. O'Donnell. O'Donnell stated she parked her car that morning to go to work. She was notified later that afternoon that the rear window of her 2017 Toyota Rav 4 was broken. O'Donnell estimated the value of the damage to be $1,000. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, for a report of property damage. On arrival, Officers met with Charles Amos, a park employee. Amos stated a door to the Convention Center had been shattered overnight. The value of the door was estimated to be approximately $600. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.


 

On the morning of July 28th, an Officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of South Carr for a fraud report. Ruslan Buyanovskiy said he sent money to a person claiming to be a landlord to make a payment on a residence the victim was going to move in to. The landlord was a fraudulent person, and did not have any claim to the residence. Buyanovskiy wished to pursue charges.


 

Tuesday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop on an SUV near the intersection of West Saline Street and Welch Court as it had no tail lights illuminated. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had an active Johnson County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Speeding. Misty Janell Allen, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked pending a $200 cash only bond.


 

On the evening of July 5th, Sedalia Police took information of a physical altercation that occurred in the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue. There was no cooperating victim. A general information report was completed.
