On the afternoon of July 1st, The Sedalia Police Department's Criminal Investigations Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, and Patrol Officers conducted a search warrant in the 1000 block of East 6th Street in reference to a burglary investigation. During the search, suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana was seized. Maggie R. Nelson, 37, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers made a traffic stop in the area of Thompson Road and West Main Street for a vehicle speeding. Officers made contact with the driver and ran her information through Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the subject had a warrant for Failure to Appear from Pettis County on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Operating a Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License, and Displaying the Plates of Another Person. Koe Moua, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $250 cash only.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a subject check on a person that had  been in a vacant house in the 1000 block of West 10th Wednesday afternoon. The subject was found to have a Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Animal At Large. Tiffany M. Morrill, 32, of Warsaw, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Morrill's bond was set at $60 cash only and her court date is to be determined.


 

Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police took a report over the phone in regards to theft from a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card in the 400 block of East 7th Street. Jessica E. McReynolds reported several attempted charges from their card before it was shut off.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of West 16th Street Wednesday morning. The driver was discovered to have a revoked license and the plates on the vehicle were not the ones registered to it. Radu B. Ciobanu, 29, of Smithton, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 24 hour hold pending charges of Driving While Revoked and Failure to Properly Display License Plates.
