On the morning of May 31st, management at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, contacted the Sedalia Police Department in regard to a theft that had occurred the day before. The total amount of the theft was $22.42. There is a suspect in the theft, and charges are being requested.


 

Late Monday night, a traffic stop was conducted at East Broadway Boulevard and Harding Avenue on a vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status. The driver was also determined to be intoxicated. In addition, the driver was unable to provide proof of insurance. David Rodriguez, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Rodriguez refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was conducted at the BRHC. Rodriguez was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Class B Felony), Driving While Revoked, and No Proof of Insurance.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding in the area of West Main Street and North Limit Avenue last Friday morning. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Adonis Mason, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Mason provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Mason was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Speeding and Driving while Intoxicated before being given a ride home.


 

Officers responded to the 500 block of East Harvey Street Monday evening in reference to a subject check with warrants. Officers made contact with the subject and his information was run through Dispatch. It was confirmed the subject had several warrants. Bradley A. Lee, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for his two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License and Driving While Revoked (2nd or 3rd Offense), a municipal Parole Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of Marijuana, and a warrant for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Lee was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrants pending a cash or surety bond of $2100.


 

Monday evening, Officers took a theft incident report over the phone from David T. Duty. Duty came to the Police Department lobby. He stated he was scammed out of money and did not receive the property he had paid for in the agreement. The suspect is unknown at this time.


 

On the evening of June 9th, Officers responded to the Wendy's restaurant, 1301 South Limit Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. All parties were identified, and the incident was investigated. A general information report was completed.


 

Late last Thursday night, Sedalia Police took a theft report from Elizabeth Ann Schler in the 600 block of East 10th Street. Schler reported that someone known to her had stolen a television from her.


 

Monday evening, Officers took a theft report from Mary Goodale in the Police Department lobby. Goodale reported that someone stole her prescription pills from the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street. There are no suspects at this time.


 

On the afternoon of June 6th, an Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 5th Street and South Moniteau Avenue for failing to signal a turn. The Officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle found drug paraphernalia. The item was seized for destruction. No charges are being sought.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Sedalia Machine Works, 415 North Marshall Street, for a report of property damage. Over the weekend, a garage door was damaged with what appeared to be a handheld tool. It is unknown if entry was made in to the building. There was no report of missing property.


 

Sedalia Police received information that a wanted subject was at a residence in the 900 block of South Harrison Avenue Monday morning. He was detained without incident. Adrien Jamil Crutchfield, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and a warrant for Failure to Register As A Sex Offender. Bond on the Probation Violation warrant was set at $2500 cash and $2500 surety, bond on the Failure to Appear warrant was set at $25,000 cash or surety, and the Registry warrant held no bond. Crutchfield was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrants.


 

On the evening of June 8th, Karen Zimmerschied turned in a cell phone that was found near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Marshall Avenue. The phone was returned to its owner.


 

Sedalia Police recognized a wanted subject walking near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Kentucky Avenue Monday morning. The subject's warrant was confirmed, which was for Probation Violation on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. A search of the subject yielded a small amount of methamphetamine, which was seized for destruction. Blake Austin Hollon, 23, of Marshall, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held on his warrant with no bond.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the Lens Crafters, 1400 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with property management. They explained someone had pulled into a parking space and struck the support beam of the business. The vehicle then left the area without making contact with anyone. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

On the morning of June 8th, Officers responded to the 200 block of East 13th Street for a report of property damage. Contact was made with Alexander N. Orlaff Jr., who reported that his window was broken out by a male subject following a disturbance. The suspect then left the area before Officers arrived. The suspect was not located.
