Early Wednesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 24th Street and South Ingram Avenue on a vehicle with a defective tail light. The driver of the vehicle had two active warrants for his arrest. Nathan L. Riga, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on his two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility with a bond of $400 cash.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of East 17th Street Tuesday evening for a report of theft. Michelle Pettis stated her dog was stolen as well as her lawn mower.


 

Officers responded to the O'Reilly's Auto Parts parking lot, 2414 West Broadway Tuesday night for a report of a hit and run accident. Ellis and Marian Tilman reported they were sideswiped by another vehicle while traveling on West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect left the scene of the accident. The suspect has not been identified, but a crash report and case report were generated.


 

Monday night, Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, the subjects were separated and it was found the female had an active warrant for her arrest. Crystal S. Burton, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Resisting Arrest with bond set at $60 cash only.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in regards to a verbal disturbance. Two subjects were trespassed from the location.


 

A female subject came to the Sedalia Police Department Monday afternoon to report that she was bitten by a dog in the 400 block of East 7th Street the previous day. The victim reported that a dog ran out into the street from a house and attacked her.


 

Monday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of East Boonville Street in reference to a property damage report. Shirley Colvin reported that someone damaged her vehicle in the over night hours between Sunday and Monday.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of East 20th Street for a report of property damage Monday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with James Ray McClintick, who stated that between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. that morning, someone slashed three of his four tires on his vehicle. McClintick estimated the damage to be around $300. Later that evening, Kurtis Jones reported one of his tires was slashed on his Jeep Cherokee at the same time in the same block of East 20th. Jones estimated the damage to be worth $250.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of West 3rd Street for a civil disturbance Monday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a male subject who stated that the female living in the house pushed him while he was trying to pack his things. Officers made contact with the female, who stated that the male pushed her while he was trying to leave the house. Both subjects accused the other of assault and a primary aggressor could not be determined. There will be a 12 hour log made of the incident.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room in regards to an animal bite. Angelika Polyansky reported the bite occurred in the 1400 block of South Beacon Avenue earlier that morning. A report was completed to document the incident.


 

Sedalia Police saw a vehicle driving Monday morning whose registered owner was listed as having an active warrant. Officers approached the vehicle and confirmed that the passenger had the warrant. Justin Kaylobe Bryan, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failing to Register a Vehicle. Bryan's bond was set at $60 cash only and a court date is to be determined.


 

Tuesday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to a theft report in the lobby of the Police Department. Theodore Harris reported that his third Economic Impact Payment was direct deposited into someone else's bank account.


 

Sedalia Police took a report over the phone in regards to a theft from a hotel room Tuesday morning. Charles W. Moon stated that a firearm had been taken from his room while he was staying at the Comfort Inn, 3600 West Broadway Boulevard. The pistol is valued at $250.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers recognized a female subject in a vehicle in the 3200 block of West Broadway who Officers knew to possibly have a warrant. Officers made contact with the subject and relayed her information to Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the subject had a confirmed warrant out of Montgomery County. Lyndi M. Fox, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Revoked and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Fox was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $500 cash.


 

Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 600 block of East 9th Street Monday night, where a motor vehicle struck a parked car. A check of the driver through Dispatch showed he had no driving status. Juan Ubaldo, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving Without a License and transported to the Police Department for booking. Ubaldo was later released on a summons with a court date.
