On the evening of February 23rd, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East 4th Street in reference to dog attack. After an investigation, it was determined that a dog had knocked a juvenile over, causing injury to the child. Keegan Riley Webner, 22 of Sedalia, was issued citations for Animal at Large and Failure to Purchase a Dog Tag.


 

Monday night, an Officer responded to the 1200 block of Liberty Park Boulevard in reference to a sexual assault call that was no longer in progress. The Officer made contact with the victim, who stated they were sexually assaulted in 2017 and 2018. Information was gathered for the report. A suspect name was given.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of East Boonville Street Monday morning. Officers made contact with the suspect, who had two active warrants entered in MULES. One was a Parole Violation warrant, another was a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of felony Stealing. Both warrants were confirmed hard copy a short time later. Officers arrested Nicole Rae Chumpraphai, 44, of Sedalia and transported her to the Pettis County Jail. Chumpraphai was held on the Pettis County FTA warrant with $10,000 cash or surety bond, while the Parole Violation warrant held no bond.


 

Monday night, a car was stopped in the area of New York and Broadway Boulevard for failing to maintain its lane. An investigation was conducted to determine if the driver was suspended or if the driver was impaired. The driver was a suspended person who also appeared to be impaired by drugs. While attempting to place the subject under arrest, he resisted. When attempting to place the suspect in the car, he assaulted an Officer before being put in the car. Jacob Michael Burgher, 21, of Sedalia, was taken to the hospital and then the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold. Burgher was held pending state charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Driving While Suspended, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the 4th Degree.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue Monday night. Jozlan N. Holloway, 23, Homeless, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Holloway was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold while state charges are requested.


 

Monday evening, Officers responded to the 600 block of South Osage Avenue for a 911 hang up call. When Officers arrived, they made contact with a male subject and later, a female subject. After investigation, the male subject was placed under arrest for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Danny L. Hayworth, 48 of Sedalia, was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold. After running the subject's information through Dispatch, they advised the female had an active warrant out of Pettis County for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree with a bond of $1500 cash or surety. A search incident to the arrest of the female was conducted. While searching the female, drug paraphernalia was located, in addition to a substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine. Amanda Kay Bobbitt, 39, of Sedalia, was taken into custody and placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia as well as the outstanding warrant.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers took a found property report from the lobby of the Police Department. A license plate was found in the 1300 block of East 24th Street. The license plate is being stored at the Sedalia Police Department for safe keeping.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the parking lot of the Police Department for a disturbance. Upon arriving, contact was made with the suspects. Through investigation, it was learned that there was a minor physical assault that had occurred. The primary physical aggressor was not able to be determined. A 12 hour log was entered into Dispatch.
